Meet Dr. Hickey

Dr. Joseph Hickey’s passion for chiropractics began at a young age. He was a breakout cross country and track runner his sophomore year of high school, until he was faced with injury. After seeing a chiropractor to address his injury, he was able to return to athletics his junior year and continued to be a runner through college. He decided that given the successful treatment he had, he wanted to pursue a career in chiropractic care with a goal of helping other people and athletes live their best pain-free lives.

What We Treat

Lower back is the leading cause of disability worldwide, and presents in many different ways. It is also known as the lumbar spine and is responsible for keeping your torso upright.

Sports Injuries

Sports injuries are injuries that occur during physical activity or sports participation. These injuries can affect athletes of all ages and skill levels and can range from minor strains and sprains to more serious injuries.

Headaches and migraines are common medical conditions that can cause significant discomfort and interfere with daily life. They are characterized by pain and discomfort in the head, but they differ in their causes, symptoms, and severity.

TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint, which is the joint that connects your jawbone to your skull. This joint allows you to open and close your mouth, chew, and perform various jaw movements.

Herniated/Bulging Discs

Herniated and bulging discs are common spinal conditions that can cause pain and discomfort. They typically occur in the intervertebral discs, which are soft, cushion-like structures located between the vertebrae of the spine.

Stress can manifest physically in the body, often leading to muscle tension, headaches, and other physical symptoms. Chiropractic care may help relieve some of these physical symptoms by addressing muscle tension and discomfort associated with stress.

Sciatica is a medical condition characterized by pain that radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is the longest and thickest nerve in the human body, running from the lower back down through the buttocks and into the legs.

Whiplash is a term commonly used to describe a neck injury that occurs when the head is suddenly and forcefully jerked backward and then forward. This rapid back-and-forth motion can cause the neck to move beyond its normal range of motion, leading to damage to the soft tissues in the neck.

Thoracic Outlet Syndrome

Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is a medical condition characterized by the compression of the nerves, blood vessels, or both as they pass through the thoracic outlet. The thoracic outlet is the narrow space between your collarbone (clavicle) and your first rib.

Carpal Tunnel

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a common medical condition that affects the hand and wrist. It occurs when the median nerve, which runs from the forearm into the hand, becomes compressed or squeezed at the wrist.
